FFA Suspends Football Until April Due To Covid-19

NOTICE: As of 4pm this afternoon, Football Federation Australia (FFA) have issued notice that the 2020 Football grassroots season (including games, training and interactions) is suspended until 14th of April 2020 due to the impacts of Covid-19 Coronavirus.

This also extends Australia-wide and to all competitions and levels of senior and junior football across all states and regions. This brings soccer into line with the other codes like AFL, League and Union.

As such, Junior and Miniroos training is also suspended at Nerang Soccer Club immediately and all football activities are to suspend until April.

This is obviously beyond the control of our club and we want to reassure all parents and players that we will be working very hard and very closely with our governing organisations and stakeholders to provide more information and clarity in the coming days and weeks as this unprecedented event unfolds.

It is critically important that we all remain calm and take a measured and considered approach to the 2020 season ahead, and again we will be working to provide more information as it comes to hand regarding possible restart to football activities at a later date.

Like all clubs, Nerang is reliant upon membership and participation to sustain its existence and we are asking for your patience and understanding in this difficult time.

Our thoughts are with all of you, your families and friends as we face this all together as not just the football family but the larger community.
