JOIN THE HPM PROGRAM IN 2020!
After the fantastic success of the program in 2019, we will be returning stronger than ever in 2020 to deliver fantastic development training and coaching for intermediate and advanced Miniroos players.
This year’s season players will have opportunity to trial and join the Nerang Soccer Club HPM development teams, entering in the U8 Development division and the Miniroos Kangaroos divisions in the Football Gold Coast competition.
The program is backed by advanced AFA and NSC coaching systems found nowhere else, developing pathways towards the highly acclaimed Academy of Football Australia youth programs (U12 and up).
Best of all – players selected for the 2020 squads will enjoy low fees coupled with high performance academy training unlike any other program in the region! HPM players are mentored on and off the field to shape professionalism, respect and performance values.
If your child is born 2010, 2011, 2012 (or even an advanced 2013), then this IS the program for you!

Unfortunately due to a lack of numbers there will be no dedicated HPM U11 team this year, however players wishing to still do the Monday HPM training sessions on top of their normal training will have the opportunity to do so, as per last season.
The next Trial date will also be emailed out to all registered persons.

Welcome to the advanced HPM Football Pathways Program – founded in partnership with Nerang Soccer Club and the Academy of Football Australia
This not-for-profit program is tailored to provide intermediate and advanced level Mini Roos age players (U8 to U10) a chance to rapidly develop their skillset, improve their game and up their performance in a high-tempo, fun and rewarding advanced-level environment.
This program is recommended for intermediate to advanced junior players – it will involve advanced football concepts, in a demanding and high-performance football training environment – it is not recommended for beginners or players still developing basic skills.
During the season, HPM teams will train under a professional coach for 3 sessions per week, and Participate in the highest divisions available for their age groups on the Gold Coast.
Players who are not selected for the HPM teams still have the opportunity to join for 1 day per week HPM training under professional coaches. Fees apply.
HPM teams may also be required to take part in extra activities and supplementary tournaments and/or carnivals during the season.
2020 HPM Technical Coaches
Fernando Victor deSouza
Head Coach Fernando (Brazil) is an enigma of football skill and coaching acumen, with over a decade of expert coaching behind him and a unique flair that delivers passion and performance to every session. An expert at the small game and a beach soccer master, his skill and knowledge is matched by his ability to inspire, motivate and instruct junior players with tactile drills, intelligent gameplay and advanced techniques. Fernando brings with him years of teaching experience, a uniquely Brazilian flair and qualifications in the Brazilian school system. Fernando has made Nerang and the AFA his new soccer home since arriving in Australia and has already proven himself as a brilliant coach.
Coach Bruno (Brazil) is a former professional player turned coaching maestro, and brings with him an extraordinary wealth of qualifications and experience which are only surpassed by his passion for football instruction. Holding a university degree in Physical Education as well as a string of diplomas in sports and football activities, Coach Bruno will be staying in Australia for the next 2 years studying, and joins the HPM Program at Nerang to supercharge our kids' skills and football understanding. Coach Bruno is already fast learning the Australian side of the game and improving his English skills at a rapid pace and we look forward to seeing his positive impact on the program and the kids in 2020.
HPM PROGRAM AIMS
The HPM Pathways Program is a bridging program that is designed to not only advance each participant’s football skills and abilities, but open up pathways for young players to explore their potential and aim towards the more advanced Academy of Football Australia youth development training programs for U12s and up.
The program is designed to work within the constraints of the various age levels and physical abilities of developing youth players while slowly immersing them into a professional training environment.
Drills, activities, exercises and game play will push players to excel whilst also providing a safe, inclusive and supportive experience that builds confidence. This is NOT the SAP program, instead providing developing young players with cutting edge, proven and unique training mechanisms only found at the Academy of Football Australia and HPM program.
