In a flash of red and blue, the ball soared into the back of the net!
As we look ahead to this weekend’s matches (hoping the rain stays away) the club’s youngest players have been recounting their first club competition games that took place a little over a week ago.
Our under 6’s this year have two teams that are already proving to be great Eagles in their own right despite it being the first time many of them have played the game.
During the round one matches, several of our fledglings scored fantastic goals on debut for the club, however it was Nerang Eagle’s youngest player, Muku, that has been turning a few heads.
Muku has only just turned 5-years-old and, despite his size, has become a fierce player on the field who is a capable tackler and involved player.
Against Broadbeach, he fired an exceptional shot after a break-away run to nail down his first ever competition goal, much to the delight of the parents and his fellow players.
Well done Muku!!!
Both teams played fair and put in a great effort in their first games, showing great promise for the season ahead – some of the other goal scorers in their games were Tyler, Charlie and Kyal.
